Localisation and internationalisation

These are the two words you’ll hear most from your marketing team. Internationalisation refers to the process of generalising a product so that it can handle multiple languages and cultural conventions without the need for redesign; whereas localisation involves taking a product and making it linguistically and culturally appropriate to the target country.

These two take place at different points in the product creation process: understanding how they both work can help you make the right decision for your product or service. Don’t hesitate to ask and we’ll be happy to discuss these concepts further with you and offer our advice.
